Kwara State has taken a bold step into the future of revenue administration with the successful rollout of the JRB’s led Consolidated Haulage Levy Digital Collection Platform—an innovation set to redefine efficiency, transparency, and ease of doing business across the state.
On Wednesday, April 8th, the transformation journey commenced with an intensive, hands-on training session facilitated by Cyber 1 Systems Network International Ltd. The session brought together the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS), IT professionals, and key industry consultants in a collaborative environment focused on equipping stakeholders with the knowledge and tools required to drive the initiative.
From the very first system demonstration, it was evident that the era of manual, cash-based haulage fee collection is giving way to a more secure and technology-driven process. The platform showcased a seamless user experience, designed to be inclusive and accessible to all categories of users. As highlighted during the session, digital financial tools are already widely adopted, reinforcing confidence in the system’s usability.
Participants were introduced to key features of the platform, including haulage vehicle tag, handheld card readers, and fully configured POS terminals. The practical nature of the training ensured that all attendees gained real-time experience. Notably, two major consultants—Oladokun Ventures and Halrab Ventures—were successfully onboarded during the session, marking an important milestone in stakeholder integration.

Building on this momentum, the team proceeded to the field on Thursday, April 9th, for a live operational demonstration. At Mandate Market, a 24-tyre truck belonging to CHI Industries became one of the first to be onboarded into the system. In a landmark moment, Cyber 1 Systems Network International Ltd sponsored the Haulage tag, while Oladokun Ventures carried out a successful live tagging exercise—demonstrating the platform’s efficiency and readiness for full-scale deployment.
This initiative signals a significant leap forward in Kwara State’s drive toward digital transformation and smart governance. By leveraging technology to streamline revenue collection, the state is not only enhancing operational transparency but also creating a more accountable and business-friendly environment.
Kwara State is clearly charting a new course—digitizing its revenue systems, one tag at a time. The future of smart, efficient revenue collection is no longer a vision; it is already unfolding.
